How do you carry your frequently needed important data? Do you have it on a pen drive? or on a portable hard drive? or you just go grab it when needed?
Let’s say you are on your vacation and you suddenly need copies of your certificates and the pen drive/portable hard disk with all the documents is back at home. Ooops! Now thats something that happens to a guy like me more frequently than you can imagine. But what if you could keep them securely online? In your reach anywhere, any time. Now wouldn’t that be neat? and you can
Below are 5 FREE services that let you store and/or share all sorts of files online.
1. Dropbox – http://www.dropbox.com
Dropbox is one my favorite services and it has saved me quite a few times. It is very reliable and efficient. It has got web based control panels and applications for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile which let you easily manage and share files/documents with your friends, family or co-workers.
FREE PACKAGE: 2 GB (https://www.dropbox.com/pricing) with all these features – https://www.dropbox.com/features
2. Box.net – http://www.box.net
Box.net is another great service, which is more focused on sharing files than storing. It has got integrations with many other web based applications and softwares.
FREE PACKAGE: 1 GB (http://www.box.net/pricing) features (http://www.box.net/features)
3. Upload Robots – http://www.uploadrobots.com
Upload Robots simplifies file management. I love the simplicity of their service, but comparing with the services provided by Box.net and Dropbox it looks like Upload Robots have got quite a long way to go.
FREE PACKAGE: 4 GB (10 MB per file limit) features (http://uploadrobots.com/feature-tour)
That’s it for now. If you know of any other great service that should be on this list, please let me know in the comments. Hope this one helps you and you find it useful. Cheers
